Sales and Tech Support...

October 2, 2008

Well it happened... Its HERE... And it is even better than we could imagine.

Ask your self just one question: "Feel like your shooting accuracy is missing something"

The New 7-in-1, X-7 Bulls Bag Shooting Rest is designed to provide "Expert" stability in firearm supports for more accurate shooting in multiple shooting environments. This unique and ingenious All-In-One design accommodates shooters’ demands by including “Experts” desired designs’ that locks rifles into place with a vise-like grip while reducing felt recoil and muzzle jump. The suede tops protect the stock of the firearm while providing a better grip to reduce movement while sighting and firing.

The design also transforms from a one bag system (Pro-SERIES) into seven independent shooting bag rests. This advancement allows the shooter to configure many additional shooting rests

The X-7 is 10" long and weighs 30 pounds, when filled with media and is made of durable 900 polyester tree patterned material.

The complete system offers over 50 shooting arrangements and is only limited by the end-users ability to explore his or her desired technique while taking aim.

I have a 15" Bulls Bag and found that NOT filling the top tubes too full makes it work better. The instructions imply you should put as much media as possible in the tubes. This is fine for the bottom tubes but for the top ones, a little less media allow them to better confirm to the rifle. Also, when they're not quite so full, you can "massage" the media to one end or another to better fit your gun. For example, if your forearm tapers a lot, move more of the media to the front of the top tubes. As long as the lower tubes won't splay completely apart when you're gripping your rifle, you have enough media in the top tubes.

Have the original 15 inch bag and my wife ordered the shorter version--original sand color--and received the "free upgrade" suede on black as you are no longer making the original version. Retired from business, I have always found that in many cases, "new and better" is simply code for a 'value engineered' way to cut costs, and that rarely translates to a better product. Just in filling the bag, the old method with the neck that was tucked in after filling, provides a better way to completely fill the bag. Also, the 'new bag has much smaller compartments and may or may not provide the needed surface contact to hold the rifle in place. I understand the design was to allow a lighter weight to carry in the field but that could have been accomplished by the fill used could it not???

Bottom line, if something is not broken, don't fix it. If you wanted to offer more products, why do so on the alter of the old? For me, if you say we offer different lengths, should not the only difference be in the length???
